Larry Koehler is a Senior Advisor at Maridea Global Capital Management. Prior to joining Maridea, Larry held pivotal roles in various financial institutions.

As the Co-Founder, Chief Financial Officer, and Vice Chairman of HighTower Advisors, Larry played an instrumental role in the firm’s growth and success. Founded in 2008, HighTower is an SEC-registered investment advisory firm that partners with over 130 advisory teams, managing an impressive portfolio exceeding $130 billion in assets today. Under Larry’s leadership, the company achieved notable milestones, including its original $65 million capital raise as well as its eventual sale to private equity firm Thomas H Lee Partners.

Larry’s experience also extends to his founding role at EVEREN Securities, where he played a key role in establishing the 10th-largest securities broker dealer and the 20th-largest majority employee-owned company. With over 4,000 employees, 2,000 financial advisers, and $70 billion in assets under management, EVEREN Securities grew significantly under Larry’s leadership. During his decade-long tenure, Larry served on the board of directors and the executive operating committee. 

Outside the financial realm, Larry enjoys spending his free time playing golf with his children and grandchildren.
