Mier Wang

Prior to founding Maridea Global Capital Management, Mier was a senior investment professional at Silver Point Capital, a Greenwich, CT hedge fund that manages $20 billion and focuses on special situations credit investments. Prior to Silver Point, Mier was a senior professional and one of the first hires at MGG Investment Group. During his time at MGG, he helped the fund grow from $200 million to over $2 billion in AUM. Prior to MGG, Mier worked in investment banking at J.P. Morgan with a specialization in financial institutions.
In addition to his career in financial services, Mier has founded multiple companies. Mier is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of AYS Hospitality Group—a restaurant group that has been featured by NYT, Eater, Forbes, Travel & Leisure, Thrillist, Time Out, Insider and many more. In 2013, he helped his family in the founding of Huskin Machinery. Huskin was later sold to RIX Manufacturing (NYSE: RIX) in 2021.
Mier is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania. Mier is a Certified Private Wealth Advisor. In his free time, he is a tennis player and a triathlete.
